Commuters using the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro on Tuesday evening had to face delays in service during peak hours due to the Overhead Equipment (OHE) failure between Anand Vihar and Vaishali section.
“Train services between the Anand Vihar and Vaishali section of the Blue Line were affected from 5:20 PM to 6:43 PM due to OHE failure,” a DMRC spokesperson said.

To carry out restoration work, services were halted between Anand Vihar and Vaishali for some time and eventually services were restored at 6:43 pm.

Single line operations were also maintained for some time from Yamuna bank to Anand vihar Metro station to maintain connectivity in this section.
Regular train services were maintained from Noida Electronic City to Dwarka Sector 21 section.
To inform passengers about the same, regular announcements were made at the stations and inside the trains also, the spokesperson added.
Earlier in a post on X, the DMRC had informed, “Delay in train services on Blue Line due to technical issue between Anand Vihar and Vaishali. Normal services on all other lines.”
In another post, the DMRC further said, “Temporarily, no train services available between Anand Vihar to Vaishali due to OHE issue.
Restoration work in progress.”
Later in another post on X, the DMRC said, “Normal services have resumed on Blue Line.”
