Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has strongly condemned the use of abusive language used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi following a video surfaced on the Internet of a man seen mouthing derogatory words for the PM and his late mother during a rally in poll-bound Bihar’s Darbhanga.
She flayed the Opposition parties for the incident. Taking to social media, she wrote, “Insulting any mother on the sacred land of Ma Sita is intolerable. And when derogatory words are used against the mother of the country’s prime minister, it is not just the murder of politics, but of our values,” she added.

Sharpening her attack on the Opposition, Gupta further said, “This is not the thinking of Congress-RJD, rather an introduction to their distorted mentality.”
She said only someone who has no connection whatsoever with “mother earth” or “mother India” can insult the word ‘mother’.
Gupta further accused the Opposition of crossing the boundaries of dignity, decency, and culture, and asserted that the entire country rejects such kind of politics. This kind of behaviour, she said, raises a question mark on the upbringing of such people.
Several leaders have condemned the use of abusive language against the PM and his late mother, stating that the kind of indecent language used during the Congress-RJD rally is highly inappropriate.
