Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann set for Bhavnagar, Bharuch campaign tour for AAP on April 16-17
This move comes as the AAP and Congress navigate a recent seat-sharing agreement within the INDIA bloc.
The Punjab government has given its consent to revive the long pending ropeway project between Sri Anandpur Sahib and Sri Naina Devi on the persuasion of the Himachal Pradesh government.
Informing about the decision, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said he had written a letter to his Punjab counterpart requesting him to take personal interest in reviving this long pending ambitious project.
A communiqué in this respect from the Punjab CM has been received on Tuesday.

He said that the Punjab CM has directed the Secretary Tourism, Punjab government to finalise all the formalities regarding this Project.
He said now a fresh MoU would be signed to initiate the work on this project in the right earnest.
“A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Governments of HP and Punjab for setting of this Project on public private partnership mode on 26 July, 2012. Though the MoU did not come into effect for certain reasons and was scrapped by the previous Congress government,” he said.
Now, the government in accordance with its commitment to give special emphasis on religious and adventure tourism has taken necessary steps in this regard.
Thakur said that this project would prove a major attraction for the pilgrimage and tourists visiting the holy cities of Sri Naina Devi in HP and Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab.
“This project would not only be an added attraction to the tourists, but also give a boost the tourism activities in the state,” he said.
