From the Jan Sangh era to the BJP’s 45-year journey, the absence of a permanent office for the Delhi unit had been a long-standing issue for party workers. On Monday, that void was finally filled with the Prime Minister inaugurating the new office.

CM Gupta thanked the top leadership for providing the facility to make the functioning of the Delhi BJP more efficient and smoother. “The office of the biggest party, that too in the national capital, is historic. This development will boost the morale of our workers,” she said.

She added that the occasion was even more special as the office was inaugurated during ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ a fortnight of service initiated by PM Modi. “The way our top leadership fulfils its responsibilities makes even the most junior worker proud to be part of this organisation,” she said.

“The values, inspiration, and strength to take bold decisions that we gain from Prime Minister Modi’s leadership encourage all of us to move forward with confidence,” Gupta added.

Speaking on the occasion, state BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said that under the guidance of senior leaders, along with the dedication and enthusiasm of party workers, the construction of the office was completed after a challenging journey.

“The party offices across the country, established under the guidance of our leadership, are not just offices — they are temples of our work culture that give energy to workers and inspire them to serve the people and the nation,” he said.

He added, “Since the days of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, our organisation has been the voice of the people of Delhi. From 1951 with the Jana Sangh to the struggles since 1980 under BJP, today we have finally received our permanent address — our very own party office. On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, there could be no greater blessing than receiving the Prime Minister’s presence and guidance.”

More than 250 senior and veteran leaders, who witnessed the party’s journey from the Jan Sangh days to the present, grew emotional during the inauguration, while thousands of workers in attendance were full of energy and enthusiasm.

Speaking to reporters, minister Kapil Mishra said the long-awaited office would play an important role in strengthening the organisation and also contribute to promoting the art and culture of the national capital.
