Himachal minister approaches speaker invoking anti-defection law against 3 MLAs
The three MLAs' petition is pending in the high court against the Speaker for not approving their resignation from the State Legislative Assembly.
Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Dr Rajeev Bindal underlined the need for bring into use advances in the in the medical technology to provide maximum benefits to the people, especially the poor sections of the society.
He was speaking at the continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme of Indian Medical Association, Shimla organised in association with APEX Diagnostics, Solan on Sunday evening.
The programme was attended by more than 100 Doctors across different disciplines, which included renowned faculty members from IGMC, Shimla as well as private practioners from Shimla and Solan.

Rajeev Bindal said that the Doctors of Himacha Pradesh has brought laurels to the state in the country and also abroad by doing pioneering work in their respective fields.
A lecture on Gastrointestinal and Bariatric (Weight Loss) Surgery was given by Dr Vivek Bindal from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr Vivek Bindal said that it is an advent of Robotic Surgery and surgical procedures have become more precise with a lower complications rate and faster recovery.
Also, Bariatric Surgery leads to long term weight loss along with resolution of diabetic, High Blood pressure, Joint Pain, infertility and migraine and increases life expectancy.
Dr Raj Kumar Gandhi and Dr Swati Bindal Gandhi from APEX Diagnostics, Solan deliberated a talk on MRI and CT angiography-non-invasive assessment of arteries and veins.
Dr Gandhi said that with advent of technology, MRI and Ct angiography has revolutionised the methods for diagnosis of diseases of arteries and veins.
This angiography is non-invasive, fast and easy to perform as an OPD procedure and there is no need to get admitted like the old angiography techniques, they informed.
