Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has written to the chief justice of the high court, requesting him to set up of a special fast-track court to try the brutal rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Kathua.
The chief minister requested the chief justice for special fast-track court that will complete the trail in 90 days, official sources said. If this happens, it would be the first such court in the state, reports said.
The state government has also decided to terminate from service the cops accused in the case, PTI quoted official sources as saying.
