A minor boy was injured on Tuesday after being hit by a mortar fired by Pakistan troops from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The injured boy has been identified as Mohammad Ashiq Hussain, a resident of Kasba Kayan of Poonch district.

He was rushed to a civilian hospital where doctors referred him to Government Medical College Jammu for specialised treatment, a police official said.
