The Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said the state would adopt best practices from the National Health Scheme of United Kingdom (UK) and the Transport for London(TfL) in order to develop a comprehensive transport system for Gurugram, Faridabad and other urban areas in the state.

Addressing a Press conference after visiting to Israel and UK, the CM said ten Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with investment worth Rs 1500 Crore have been signed with United Kingdom (UK) which would provide direct employment to about 1000 persons.

Addressing a Press conference after visiting to Israel and UK, the CM said the MoUs signed in the UK included MoUs for smart cities, technology transfer, support services and establishing UK companies especially focused on Aerospace and Defence Sectors.

He said that the state would adopt best practices from the National Health Scheme of UK and the transport for London besides collaborating with the universities and colleges for skill development programs.

Khattar said the high delegation of Haryana held a meeting with Transport for London (TfL) which provided a broader perspective for implementation of a successful city transport system for a growing city like Gurugram.

A team from Haryana led by the transport minister or transport secretary would be tasked to visit UK to understand the principles and seek collaboration with TfL for developing a comprehensive transport system for Gurugram, Faridabad and other urban areas in Haryana.

Similarly, pproposal for setting up multi-super specialty tertiary care hospital and other services in Haryana was discussed in a meeting with Indo UK Institute of Health.

Options for various sites for their project and related matters were discussed and clarified. The issue regarding the final site would be settled by June end, he added.

While referring to his visit to Israel, the CM said that he visited the headquarter of Hatzalah at Jerusalem which provides emergency medical services through operation of Ambu-Bikes.

A dedicated group of trained volunteers remain ready to provide emergency medical aid using latest technology within 90 second of the call made by any distressed citizen residing in Israel any time 24×7, Khattar said.

The officials of the Hatzalah explained the operational details of the entire procedure adopted by the organisation for saving precious lives of the Israeli citizens and demonstrated the technology involved in the entire process through operation of Ambu-Bikes fully equipped to deal with emergency medical calls.

He said that the potential adoption of such emergency response system in addition to the existing ambulance system in Haryana was explored and deliberated.

The CM said that he also visited some farmers’ fields to understand the water efficient technologies system that is Micro Irrigation Systems which have been extensively adopted by the farmers of Israel.
