To make the state tobacco-free, the Haryana government on Thursday has decided to formulate the State Level Co-ordinating Committee (SLCC), which would be the nodal committee for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of tobacco control activities.

An official spokesperson said that Health Minister Anil Vij has approved the formulation of the committee and the similar committees would also be formulated at district level to look after tobacco control activities in all districts.
