A 55-year-old farmer allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train in Shamli district, the police said on Friday.
Shaman Singh’s body was found on a railway track in Rashidghar village last evening, Station House Officer Samay Singh.

Family members claimed that he was worried over some family dispute, the officer said.

During the ongoing operation, officials identified three madrasas allegedly functioning without registration from the Madrasa Board. Following verification, the administration sealed the institutions.
Police said that the victim charged that Abhishek Mishra drugged her with milk under the guise of Prasad, raped her, and then took photos and videos. The accused even threatened her of making the videos and photos viral if she refused.
