Gahlot holds meet to expedite installation of HSRP
During the meeting, the minister directed the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and its assigned vendor to expedite the process of installing HSRPs in the city.
Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot on Sunday initiated the resurfacing work of the existing old Kakraula road from Tuda Mandi Chowk to Kakraula village bridge in Najafgarh.
Speaking on the occasion, Gahlot, who represents the Najafgarh assembly constituency, said that the work will be completed within the stipulated time.
“Developing Najafgarh is my top priority,” the minister said.

The resurfacing project, estimated to cost Rs 3.52 crore, will cover a total length of 2.4 km. This road holds great importance as it serves as a crucial link connecting Najafgarh to Dwarka, Janakpuri, the airport, and the railway station. It is expected to benefit approximately 10 lakh people residing in the nearby areas, a communiqué said.
The restoration work will involve the application of layers of bituminous pavement in the major portion of the road, complemented by concrete cement pavement in certain areas as per site requirements. Additionally, retro-reflective markings on the surface and signage boards will be installed to enhance safety measures, it said.
The deterioration of the old Kakraula road stemmed from various factors, including the construction activities related to the Urban Extended Road (UER)-II and heavy machinery movement, the statement said.
The completion of this restoration work is anticipated within four months, it added.
Besides, he also laid piped natural gas (PNG) pipelines by Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) at Surhera village in Najafgarh. The connection to households in Surhera is expected to be completed within two months.
