Delhi: Four-year-old raped at her tution centre, sparks protests; accused arrested
The police have registered a case and arrested the accused.
A 12-year-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in outer Delhi’s Rohini, police said on Tuesday. The friends of the man, who allegedly raped the minor, reportedly, filmed the crime and also circulated the video.
All the accused were arrested by the police on Monday.
“Bunty has been booked for rape and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), and his friends under the relevant sections of IPC and the IT Act for their involvement in the crime,” the police officer said.

The incident took place on Friday when the accused took the girl along with him to some place where he called two others for shooting the video, police added.
They threatened the girl with dire consequences if she reported the matter.
On Saturday, her mother received the video of the alleged act and informed the police. The video was also circulated to others, they added.
The victim stays with her family in Mangolpur Kalan of Rohini in west Delhi. The family was shocked to see the video and immediately informed the police about the incident, the officer said.
“Bunty, who is a neighbour of the victim, on the day of crime took her to some places in good faith in the locality. Finally, he took the girl to a community center and committed the crime at a secluded place in front of two of his friends. The site of crime was identified through the video they had made,” the police officer said.
The victim’s family also alleged that the accused’s family members were mounting pressure on them to withdraw the case.
