A layer of dense fog blanketed parts of Delhi and the NCR region early in the morning, reducing visibility to around 1,000 metres at Palam and Safdarjung, IMD officials said. The fog led to low visibility on several stretches, though no major disruptions were reported.

Meanwhile, the city’s air quality remained in the ‘very poor’ category, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 345 at 12:00 pm, according to data from the Sameer app.

The daily AQI bulletin, released at 4 pm, was yet to be updated on the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) website or the app at the time of filing this report.

According to the IMD’s extended forecast, minimum temperatures are likely to remain below normal (–1.6°C to –3.0°C) at most places and appreciably below normal (–3.1°C to –5.0°C) at isolated locations over the next four to five days.
