Delhi LG draws CM Kejriwal’s attention to civic ‘misery’

Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena

Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena said here on Tuesday that despite the tall claims made in the last nine years, over 20 lakh people of the national capital are forced to live in misery devoid of basic civic amenities.

During a visit to the Sangam Vihar, the LG said he found people living in utter misery. ”Went to Sangam Vihar yesterday at the request of local residents. Despite 9 years of claims more than 20 lakh people living in the area are forced to live a hellish life, deprived of basic public facilities. There are no roads, no sewers, no garbage disposal,” Saxena wrote X.

Saxena even shared some pictures on social media platforms, including X, tagging CM Kejriwal, depicting appalling sights on the streets with tangled electricity wires, overflowing drains, broken roads, and garbage lying on the streets unattended in the area.
