The minister also shared that 50,000 new pension vacancies have been created for senior citizens in Delhi during the ongoing service fortnight, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

Along with this, the Savitribai Phule Old Age Home in Paschim Vihar has also been inaugurated, which will provide modern and secure housing facilities to 96 senior citizens.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, he said, has issued clear directions on senior citizens getting benefits of every scheme of the Delhi government without facing any difficulty.

Indraj further said that all eligible senior citizens will receive the benefit of pension, and if they require any assistive device, they may inform the department.

These devices include wheelchairs, walkers, wheel bearers and wheel-bearer commodes, hearing aids, spectacles, silicon foam pillows, spinal support belts, knee presses, cervical collars, and other health-support kits.

He emphasized that the Delhi government is providing not only facilities, but also security and dignity to the elderly and appealed to the people to respect and support senior citizens.
