The CM announced that the first two days of the drive would focus on clearing backlogs in schools, hospitals, and offices.

Each Saturday and Sunday, efforts will be made to clease unauthorised colonies and JJ clusters, while special clean-up drives are planned at Yamuna ghats on August 14, 21, and 28, while the Ring Road will be cleaned on August 29 and 31.

Highlighting government support to the campaign, Gupta said Rs 5 crore has been allocated to the MCD for this drive, and to encourage community participation, she announced incentives including Rs 25 lakh for the best-performing Resident Welfare Association (RWA), Rs 15 lakh and Rs 10 lakh for the second and third positions respectively.

Adding to the vision, UD Minister Ashish Sood stressed that cleanliness must not be limited to VIP zones, adding that the slums and unauthorised colonies are also important when it comes to this, as such places were deprived of cleanliness and dignity for decades.

Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh said this campaign is not just a cleanliness drive, but a collective effort to establish the city as a beautiful, healthy, and dignified capital.

PWD Minister Parvesh Verma, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagvan Yadav, MCD Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma, Leader of House Pravesh Vaahi, Deputy Chairman Sunder Singh, Vice Chairman NDMC Kuljeet Singh Chahal, along with senior officers of the Delhi administration were also present on the occasion.
