Khandelwal said that providing a solution to the traders’ issues is a priority to him.
Meanwhile, the CM has directed the officials to apprise the court that Chandni Chowk has been a designated commercial area since before the Delhi Master Plan of 1962, and as per the Delhi Master Plan 2021, most of its markets and lanes are fully registered for commercial or mixed land use.
The delegation also included Mukesh Sachdeva (President, Delhi Hindustani Mercantile Association), Shribhagwan Bansal (General Secretary DHMA) and Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor.
The CM assured the traders of Chandni Chowk and those from across the city that the Municipal Corporation, the state and the central government will jointly defend their interests.
