Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday said the next SAD-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance government would review and scrap all anti-people decisions taken by the “corrupt Congress government” in the last three months in the office including those aimed at enriching Congress leaders and their kith and kin.

Addressing a public rally at Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, the SAD chief said the countdown of the scam-ridden Congress government has already begun.

“Now it is just a matter of time. The Congress government has just 360 hours left before the imposition of the model code of conduct. After that once there is a change in government all Congress leaders who indulged in illegalities, as well as officers who connived with them to commit atrocities on the people, will be taken to task as per the law of the land,” he added.

Speaking about Charanjit Singh Channi, the SAD President said “the Chief Minister has realised people are fed up with the misrule of Congress government. “No Punjabi is ready to accept his fake promise and he has finally given up knowing that he cannot implement even a single out of countless announcements made by him. Now he also has to suffer the ignominy of being rejected by his cabinet colleagues and is not even being considered as the chief ministerial candidate of the Congress party,” he added.

Badal also came down heavily on state home minister Sukhjinder Randhawa. “Randhawa is an abettor to murder. Once we form the government he will be booked for all his crimes. Policemen who are party to his illegal acts will also be taken to task,” he said, adding being the only party of Punjab and Punjabis, the SAD understood the issues of the state.
