The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has welcomed the Delhi Lt Governor’s orders to enforce revised minimum wages for workers in the Capital.

In a statement on Saturday, the BMS said the revision of the minimum wages was pending for a long time. The Lt Governor’s orders to revise the wages, in keeping with the recommendation of a tripartite committee
constituted on September 15, 2016, was welcome, the BMS said.

The RSS-affiliate union has, however, criticised the announcement of different dearness allowance slabs to compensate for inflation. These slabs range from Rs.1.35 to Rs.1.85. The union said this decision
should be looked into afresh as price-rise affected all sections of workers equally. The price-rise should be compensated 100 per cent, the BMS said.
