Campaigning for the BJP in poll-bound Bihar, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday accused the opposition and LoP Rahul Gandhi of indulging in caste-based politics for years, and also dragging the army for petty political gains.

She held multiple road shows and public meetings across Arwal, Gaya City, and Aurangabad assembly constituencies in Bihar.

She said the kind of politics being done by the opposition parties is shameful, adding that “Those who can defame the nation abroad, question the integrity of our armed forces, compromise national security, or even deny the existence of Lord Ram… they should be ashamed of themselves.”

The senior BJP leader also took a jibe at the RJD, saying “those who once consumed fodder meant for cattle are now trying to feed the people with lies and false promises”.

She added that people of Bihar are wise, and now they will no longer fall into their trap.

Gupta also alleged that Bihar, back in the day, suffered from darkness, lawlessness, and corruption under the lantern regime, further asserting that the NDA government has given the state a new direction through better law and order and accelerated development.

She said Biharis have seen through the politics of casteism, dynasty, and corruption, and are now going to choose development and good governance.

She also emphasized that her party is committed to ushering in a new era of politics in Bihar, which is focused on education, healthcare, employment, and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, the Delhi CM began her campaign in the state by paying homage at Takht Sri Harmandir Ji, Patna Sahib, offering prayers for the progress and prosperity of Bihar and the nation.

Speaking at the Gurudwara, she noted, “I feel blessed to seek the blessings of Guru Maharaj ji on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab at the holy Patna Sahib Gurudwara. The rich cultural heritage of Bihar, land inspire us all.”
