Miss Banerjee reviewed the progress of all the development schemes of the state government in the district.

Taking lesson from last year’s dengue outbreak in the state, the chief minister asked the principal secretary to formulate plans from now to contain the disease.

She also asked the municipalities and health department to take necessary steps to formulate plans so that people are relieved from dengue menace this year.

While interacting with development works taken by her government, Miss Banerjee asked the PWD officials to provide street lights on the Junglekanya Setu at Bhasraghat.

She also assured that her government would soon build two overbridges at Gokulpur and Daspur.

The demand to build overbridges was pending for long, she said. Miss Banerjee informed that her government has delivered compensation to the tune of Rs 76 crore among more than four lakh farmers who suffered losses during the last year’s flood in the district.

The CM also announced that the government would provide 50 workers to the Midnapore Medical College Hospital who would keep the hospital clean.

She also warned the MMCH authorities asking them not to send the patients unnecessary to other state hospitals.
