UP BJP draws strategy to increase voter turnout in 2nd phase of LS polls
According to a senior party leader, the BJP has changed its strategy. Now every 10 votes will be monitored.
In a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said that his father, Bal Thackeray, tolerated the BJP’s ‘misdeeds’, but he would not do so.
Addressing a campaign rally at Dahanu for Shriniwas Wanaga, the Sena candidate for the May 28 Palghar Lok Sabha seat by-election, Thackeray said his party put up with the BJP for the sake of Hindutva for 25 years.
“Balasaheb tolerated it (BJP’s misdeeds). We have had enough of it, and I will not tolerate this anymore,” he said.

Referring to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s comment during the campaign that Shiv Sena is no longer the party which Bal Thackeray had founded, Uddhav said, “BJP of today is not the original BJP of (Atal Bihari) Vajpayee.”
“It has become a BJP of (Narendra) Modi,” the Sena chief said.
Thackeray also promised that he would fight against the proposed land acquisition in the district for the Bullet Train project.
This has not been for the first time that Shiv Sena, which already announced that it will not contest the 2019 general election in alliance with BJP, launched a bitter attack on BJP.
On Thursday, Shiv Sena’s editorial mouthpiece Saamana had dubbed the BJP as a “mad murderer” which is “stabbing anyone coming in its way.”
“Today, the BJP has become a mad murderer that stabs anybody coming in its way,” Sena had alleged in Saamna.
