Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday tore down the BJP government, calling out the saffron party for devastating Delhi in just six months.
Speaking at the Diwali Milan celebration at the AAP headquarters, Kejriwal spotlighted the falling state of city’s infrastructure and said, “Roads are broken, garbage piles up across the city, sewers overflow, and medicines are unavailable in hospitals. People are receiving electricity and water bills worth thousands of rupees, and in many areas, water supply has stopped altogether.”

The AAP Chief pointed out that Delhiites voted for the BJP, hoping for smoother governance since both the LG and the Central Government belong to the party, but instead, the city has been plunged into chaos.
Meanwhile, women staged a protest outside CM Rekha Gupta’s residence in Shalimar Bagh on Saturday, demanding the state government to deliver on its promise of giving a free gas cylinder to every household on Holi and Diwali.
Angered by the BJP’s failure in fulfilling its pre-poll commitments, women protesters held banners and posters that read “Aa gaya Diwali ka tyohar, muft cylinder do BJP sarkar”, the women said Holi had passed and now Diwali had arrived, yet the BJP had still not provided the promised free cylinders.
Recalling the BJP’s unfulfilled election promises, AAP Delhi unit president Saurabh Bhardwaj wrote on X, “Women in Delhi have reached the residence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Shalimar Bagh to demand their free Diwali cylinder. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a guarantee to the people of Delhi that every household would receive a free cylinder on Holi and Diwali. But the BJP government has not fulfilled these promises yet.”
