Two IEDs found in J-K’s Kathua
The improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found in polythene bags by a patrol party of the Special Operations Group (SOG), they said.
‘Make me a channel of your peace,’ singing the song of peace, and praying for the unity and harmony among all, the people of different communities along with the religious clerics, gathered on Tuesday to protest against the crimes and women and children, with emphasis on the Kathua and Unnao rape cases.
Later, the members submitted a deputation to governor Keshari Nath Tripathi. Spreading the message of love and peace, more than 500 people along with religious heads representing different communities marched from St Paul’s Cathedral to Gandhi’s Statue at Mayo Road.
The rally was jointly organised by Indian Pluralism Foundation, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta,Tollygunge Buddhist Monastery, Church of North India, Sant Kutiya Gurdwara and several other minority organisations.

Lamenting over the recent cases of girl children being raped and assaulted, Father Dominique Gomes, Vicar General of Archdiocese, Kolkata, said: “Our main concern should be humanity, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
The fact that our mothers and sisters are insecure, the question of humanity has become a big concern. Meanwhile, the students of Calcutta University (CU) associated with Trinamul Chhatra Parisad had also taken out a rally on Tuesday deamnding justice for the victim of the rape cases.
