15th national theatre festival to be organised by CANFEST

Like every year the lone cultural institution of Port Township CANMASS is going to organise 15th National Theatre Festival CANFEST-2017 from 19 March.

Several troupes from different parts of India will stage their plays. The festival will be inaugurated by PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy.

CANMASS is organising theatre festival here at Paradip since last 14 years. Ekjute, Mumbai will present Hindi Play “Ye hai Bombay Meri Jaan” under the direction of Nadira Zaheer Babar on the inaugural day.

Kadambini, Bhubaneswar will present Odia play “Kanta Kantaa” directed by Darpa Narayan Sethi on the second day while Prachyo, Kolkata will present Bengali play “Sakharam” directed by Abanti Chakraborti and Shree Cultural Association, Sambalpur will present Odia play “Simna Kanthi” directed by Satya Ranjan Behera and Shadow Theatre, Bhopal will present Hindi Play “Vladimir ki Hero” directed by Manoj Nair, Cultural campaign Tripura will present Bengali play “Guddu Guddir Dunia” directed by Arun Pal, Charlie Chaplin Cultural Club, Dhenkanal will present Odia play “Adha Adha’ directed by Dinesh Das and on the valedictory evening ‘Ame Srusti, Bhubaneswar will stage odia play “Atmalipi” directed will be staged.
