Stock Market ends in the red; rupee touches a record low
The Indian Stock Market ended lower on Friday amid weakness in select sectors while the Indian rupee also touched a record low, weighing on market sentiment.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) are closed for trading on Monday due to assembly elections in Maharashtra.

Voting for 90 seats in states of Haryana and 288 constituencies of Maharashtra begun at 7.00 am on Monday. The polling will continue till 6.00 pm.

On Friday, BSE Sensex settled 246 points or 0.63 per cent higher at 39,298.38. The NSE added 75 points or 0.65 per cent to 11,661.85.
