Bad weather conditions postpone Boeing 777X’s first flight

After waiting for several hours for the bad weather to pass on, Boeing on Friday canceled the first test flight of its 777X. The company had said that it would again try on Saturday.

Bowing claims that the new 777X is the largest-ever twin-engined model and is designed to hold on average 406 people. The new aircraft has giant carbon-composite wings, the largest Boeing has ever designed.

Bowing on Thursday had predicted that the weather conditions could delay the test flight.

The cancelation of the test flight comes at a time when the company is facing grounding of its 737MAX. The crisis surrounding the jet; following two fatal crashes has led the new Chief Executive Officer Dave Calhoun to send the company back to the drawing board on proposals for a new mid-market aircraft, reports stated.
