A collection of short stories inspired by a true event that took place during the chaos and frenzy following the India-Pakistan partition is set for September launch.
The book titled Gul Sundri is written by Mohan Deep.
The stories unfolded from an event–when a Sufi shrine was stolen at midnight and smuggled from Larkana, Sindh, to Bombay where the durbar was recreated by the devotees exiled from their homeland.
Marking the 70th year of the Partition, Deep, a former investigative journalist, dig deep into the trouble period to emerge with a love saga set in this period.
His earlier writings include It’s My Life, The Five Foolish Virgins, Color Me Rich and Nehru and Tantrik Woman.
