NHPC Limited has announced its sports scholarship scheme for budding sportspersons across 16 disciplines, including football, hockey, boxing, archery, athletics, cricket, swimming, wrestling, badminton, chess and para sports.
The scheme is open to talented players aged 14–19 years (14–24 years for para sports), with a total of 32 scholarships up for grabs. The scholarships will be awarded in two categories – elite scholar and scholar – for a period of three years.

For elite scholars, Rs 12,000 per month (1st year), Rs 13,000 (2nd year), Rs 14,000 (3rd year) will be provided and for scholars, Rs 9,000 per month (1st year), Rs 10,000 (2nd year), Rs 11,000 (3rd year) will be given.

Apart from financial support, selected athletes will also get additional benefits to aid their sporting journey.
Applications are open online at the NHPC website (www.nhpcindia.com, under the “Career” section), and the last date to apply is March 26, 2025. Only online applications will be considered.
This initiative aims to nurture young sporting talent and build a strong pool of future champions for the country.
