“Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose. It teaches you about life,” former World No.1 tennis player Billie Jean King once said.

Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, was soaked in sports fervour when a German soccer duo artists, Max and Daniel, turned up to show their soccer tricks and impress the spectators.

Head of Cultural Department, Embassy of Germany, Graf Von der Schulenberg and Thomas Schmidt, were the esteemed guests for the sports event.

“Sports has the power to change and unite the world,” Ritu Madan, Head, Senior School, said while welcoming the German guests.

Besides exhibiting their breathtaking skills, the German soccer artists taught Springdales students a few interesting tricks and presented the school football equipment.

Thanking the school for providing the German artists a stage to perform, Schulenberg said such initiatives strengthen the bond of friendship between the two countries.
