The North 24 Parganaas district in West Bengal area is around 40 km from Baduria, which had witnessed communal violence in July last year over a Facebook post.

At that time, clashes broke out between the members of two communities in Baduria after a provocative social media post went viral.

Although the youth involved with the social post was arrested and the post deleted, clashed broke out and spread to several areas, with mob resorting to blockade and vandalism.
