Students from Hooghly district have secured places in the state merit list in the Madhyamik examination, ranking between sixth and ninth positions.

Senior district officials, including the Additional District Magistrates, all Sub-Divisional Officers and Block Development Officers of the district, were present.
The meeting focused on the progress and effective implementation of key flagship development schemes of the state government, including Amader Para Amader Samadhan, Pathashree, Banglar Bari, various scholarship initiatives, and the status of applications and grievance redressal through the Chief Minister’s CMRO portal. Performance across multiple development indicators was also reviewed to assess ground-level implementation and identify areas requiring expedited action.

The District Magistrate emphasised the need for timely completion of all ongoing projects and strict adherence to government guidelines and procedural transparency. He directed officials to ensure smooth execution, close monitoring and proactive problem-solving to prevent delays. Stress was laid on maintaining vigilant oversight of development parameters so that intended benefits reach the public without administrative hurdles.
