In a statement, the CJP has strongly condemned the "deeply insensitive actions" of Vijeta Dahiya.
The Division Bench was hearing the appeal filed by Sonam Wangchuk’s wife, Gitanjali J Angmo, challenging the single-judge’s order refusing to direct that Wangchuk be shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday, July 21, allowed activist Sonam Wangchuk, who remains on hunger strike in solidarity with the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar, to be shifted to a hospital of his choice.
“What we propose to do is get him shifted to the hospital of his choice, that is Medanta. He will be treated by the Medanta doctor. All the treatment details at Safdarjung Hospital will be supplied to Medanta immediately and he will be treated there. A panel of doctors to be formed by the director Medanta,” the Bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia said, according to Bar and Bench.

Further, the court noted that an order in this regard will be passed after the lunch break.

While appearing for Angmo, Senior Advocate Akhil Sibal submitted a letter by the doctor treating Wangchuk at the time of protest. While appearing for the central government, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Chetan Sharma also handed over documents.
After taking note of the medical reports, Justice Karia stated that the activist’s potassium levels had dipped.
“Clinical observation is generally more acceptable than the reports,” Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, also appearing for the Centre, stated.
