Following this, she also visited the hostel and inspected the premises. “I have come for a visit dressed as a student, with a female police officer. There are many complaints about JNM Hospital,” she said.
Expressing her disappointment, the Minister of State for Health said, “There are no senior doctors. The area is extremely dirty. Cats and dogs are roaming around. There are several problems at the hostel. I have taken a note of it. However, I am not commenting about this now.”

“I never go out in casual wear. Today, I have come for a surprise visit. There are many complaints about JNM Hospital and so I came here to see it myslef. I will inform the higher authorities about these,” she added.
Sarkar even warned that she would come to the hospital for a surprise visit again.
Meanwhile, some patients also came up to the MoS with their complaints.

The Kalyani JNM Hospital has reportedly been at the receiving end of a string of complaints from patients as well as their relatives about poor quality of food, filth at the premises, as well as absence of senior doctors. However, nothing has been done by the hospital authorities so far to redress these issues.
