As concern grows over health of educator and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, support from across the country continues to pour. Actor Soni Razdan has now joined the list of public figures requesting Wangchuk to stop protest, saying that his voice is too important to lose.
On Wednesday, Soni Razdan took to Instagram to express her concern for Sonam Wangchuk. She posted a heartfelt note, asking him to think about his health and continue his fight in the future instead of risking his life.

In her message, she wrote, “Dear Sonam Wangchuk, for your health we all do pray… Please do not leave us in this way. Please live to fight another day… Please stay. Please end your fast today.”
She also added a short caption with the post that read, “We need you. Don’t leave us,” along with folded hands emojis.
More public figures join the appeal
Soni Razdan is not the only public figure asking Sonam Wangchuk to end his indefinite fast. Several respected names from different fields have also urged him to stop the protest.
Actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah have publicly appealed to Wangchuk.
Rubina Dilaik calls him a ‘real hero’
Actor Rubina Dilaik also expressed her support through Instagram. She described Sonam Wangchuk as “a real hero” and urged people not to let him lose his life while fighting for the country’s future.
In her post, she wrote, “He is a real hero. Don’t let him die fighting for our country’s own good.”
Rubina also shared an earlier Instagram post by veteran actor Zeenat Aman.
Zeenat Aman urges government to hold talks
Earlier, Zeenat Aman had appealed to the Indian government to begin peaceful discussions with Sonam Wangchuk while respecting his wishes.
She wrote that the matter is important because it concerns the future of the entire country. According to her message, those in positions of authority should respond to peaceful protests through peaceful dialogue.
Zeenat also said that society should not remain silent while one of the country’s brightest minds risks his life.
