During the investigation, villagers told the police that a bull had accidentally fallen into the well. In an effort to save the animal, the four family members entered the well one after another using a rope. However, upon reaching the bottom, they quickly lost consciousness due to a severe lack of oxygen and exposure to toxic gases.
Other villagers rushed to the scene and managed to pull the four unconscious men out of the well.
They were rushed to the Amarpatan Civil Hospital, where doctors declared three of them dead on arrival.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the police have registered a case and launched investigations into the incident.
