Congress MP Manish Tewari on Thursday appeared to voice his disappointment after being left out of the party’s newly announced organisational structure and election committees for Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

The development came less than a day after the All India Congress Committee (AICC) unveiled a major organisational reshuffle for Punjab, assigning key election responsibilities to senior leaders while excluding Tewari from all major appointments. Of the seven Congress MPs from Punjab, six were given election-related responsibilities.

“Wish I had an antidote for the insecurities of individuals and institutions! Having said that @INCIndia has given me enough over the past 45 years and I have also devoted my entire adult life in the service of the Indian National Congress over the decades,” he wrote.

He concluded the post with, “Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be…”

The post came after media reports highlighted that Tewari had not been included in the party’s latest organisational appointments for Punjab.
