The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee has made changes to India A women’s squads for the upcoming tour of England after leg-spinner Prema Rawat was promoted to the senior national team as a replacement for the injured Shreyanka Patil in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

To fill the vacancy created by Rawat’s elevation, all-rounder Niki Prasad has been added to the India A T20 squad, while off-spinner Minnu Mani has been drafted into the One-Day setup for the England A series.

“The Women’s Selection Committee has made the following additions to the India A squads for the upcoming series against England A: Niki Prasad has been added to the India A T20 squad. Minnu Mani has been added to the India A One-Day squad,” the BCCI said in a statement on Friday.

The changes come in the wake of Shreyanka Patil’s tournament-ending ankle injury suffered during India’s Women’s T20 World Cup clash against the Netherlands on June 17. Rawat, who was originally named in both the India A T20 and One-Day squads, was subsequently called up to the senior side, prompting the selectors to revise the touring contingents.

Before the reshuffle, Niki Prasad had been selected only for the One-Day squad, while Minnu Mani was part of the T20 setup. The latest revisions ensure both squads remain fully equipped ahead of a demanding white-ball assignment in England.

Anushka Sharma will lead the India A T20 side with Vrinda Dinesh serving as vice-captain, while Harleen Deol will captain the One-Day squad alongside deputy Pratika Rawal.

India A begin their England tour with a three-match T20 series starting June 20, followed by three One-Day matches from July 1.

The touring squads also feature several experienced domestic and international players, including G Kamalini, Priya Punia, Tejal Hasabnis, Tanuja Kanwar, Sayali Satghare, Simran Bahadur and Saima Thakor, alongside emerging talents such as Deeya Yadav, Vaishnavi Sharma and Jintimani Kalita.
