According to Dahiya, the five had been facing an uncertain situation for an extended period and were anxiously awaiting an opportunity to return home. As the security environment in the region became increasingly challenging, efforts were initiated to ensure their safe evacuation and repatriation.

He said that after receiving information from Khalsa Aid founder Ravi Singh, the organisation immediately approached Sandhu for assistance. Necessary communication channels were subsequently established with the Government of India and the Indian Embassy in Beirut, enabling the completion of legal and administrative formalities required for the youths’ return.

The rescued individuals and their families expressed relief and gratitude after reaching India safely. Family members became emotional upon being reunited with their loved ones after weeks of uncertainty. The youths thanked Khalsa Aid, Ravi Singh, Jaspreet Singh Dahiya, the Indian Embassy, and Taranjit Singh Sandhu for facilitating their return.

They said the difficult circumstances in Lebanon had left them worried about their future and uncertain about when they would be able to return home. According to them, timely intervention and continued support from those involved in the rescue effort helped keep their hopes alive during a challenging period.

Speaking about the organisation’s humanitarian work, Dahiya said Khalsa Aid’s mission extends beyond providing relief assistance and focuses on offering safety, dignity, and hope to people facing crises. He noted that the organisation has been involved in humanitarian operations across more than 50 countries, providing support to people affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies without discrimination.

The successful return of the five youths has been welcomed by their families and local communities, highlighting the role of coordinated humanitarian and diplomatic efforts in assisting Indian citizens facing difficulties abroad.
