Aditya Singh, the councillor of Domdih ward in Bhatpar Rani, alleged that Khan Sir stalled development work by stopping the construction of a drain being built by the Nagar Panchayat.

Local residents and relatives allege that Khan Sir’s sudden wealth and popularity have fuelled arrogance in his behavior. Ashok Singh, a local resident of Bhatpar Rani, claimed that since Khan Sir’s family purchased land in the area, the neighbourhood has faced constant harassment over access to the road for nearly two years. Ashok Singh further alleged that the boundary wall of his own house was demolished following a dispute.

Villagers say Khan Sir rarely visits the village, although he has built a large one-storey house there. A dispute ensued after the government started constructing a drain along the road in front of his house.

Attempts to contact Khan Sir for his comment on the allegations proved futile.
