The strict action being taken by the Uttar Pradesh government against the networks of paper leak and cheating mafias, which remained active in recruitment examinations in the state for years, continues to prove highly effective.
A major example of this was witnessed during the recently conducted Lekhpal Main Examination-2025, where attempts were made to spread rumours of a paper leak through social media, but the conspiracy completely failed in the face of the alertness of the administration and the commission.

Officials here on Sunday claimed that the examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) was completed peacefully and transparently at 861 examination centres across 44 districts of the state. Out of a total of 3,66,712 registered candidates, 3,01,756 candidates appeared in the examination. The attendance percentage stood at 82.29, reflecting the confidence of the candidates as well.

As soon as the examination began, some individuals attempted to spread rumours of a paper leak regarding Gopinath Laxmandas Rastogi Inter College located in Aishbagh, Lucknow. Immediately after receiving the information, the district administration, the commission, and monitoring teams launched an inquiry.
The investigation clearly established that the question papers and OMR sheets were fully sealed and secure.
In fact, some candidates from one examination room came outside due to confusion, which certain individuals attempted to portray as a paper leak on social media. Officials clarified the situation on the spot, after which the candidates returned to their examination rooms, and the examination continued peacefully.
This time, the monitoring of the examination was entirely technology-based. Live monitoring was conducted through control command rooms from the commission headquarters to all examination centres. A total of 18,883 CCTV cameras were installed across the state.
In addition, 7,683 biometric operators and 6,297 frisking guards were deployed. AI-based identification systems were used to monitor impersonation and fraud. As a result, one suspicious candidate was immediately caught in Bulandshahr and handed over to the police.
There was a time when recruitment examinations in Uttar Pradesh were frequently questioned due to paper leaks and solver gangs, but over the past few years, the Yogi government has taken strict steps to completely transform the examination system. High-tech monitoring, biometric verification, AI tracking, and administrative accountability have broken the backbone of cheating mafias.
The peaceful conduct of the Lekhpal Main Examination-2025 indicates that recruitment examinations in the state are now moving forward under a new model of transparency and strictness.
