Acharya Balkrishna, Ayurveda expert and a key figure at Patanjali, was presented the “I AM PEACEKEEPER – Champion Health Award 2026” at the Billionaires for Peace Conclave 2026 held in Mumbai on Wednesday. The award was given in recognition of his work in global wellness, humanitarian service, peacebuilding, and the promotion of holistic healthcare through Ayurveda.

The conclave brought together Nobel Peace Prize laureates, policymakers, industry leaders, spiritual leaders, and global thinkers to deliberate on peace, human welfare, and sustainable progress. Speaking after receiving the award, Acharya Balkrishna said that healthy individuals form the foundation of peaceful societies and strong nations. He described Ayurveda as a comprehensive science of life that guides people toward balance, positivity, and health. He also invoked India’s philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” noting the global community’s growing interest in India’s sustainable approaches to peace and wellbeing.

He pointed to the modern world’s rising levels of stress, lifestyle disorders, and health challenges, stating that nature-centric living combined with India’s ancient wisdom can offer meaningful solutions to these problems. He added that Yoga and Ayurveda not only work toward building a disease-free world but also contribute to reducing stress and conflict in society.

Acharya Balkrishna described the honour as a collective recognition, attributing it to India’s cultural heritage, the science of Ayurveda, and those who have adopted natural living as a way of life.

Over the years, Acharya Balkrishna has worked to reposition Ayurveda from a traditional healing practice to a medical system backed by modern scientific research.
