Shinde had left for a tour of Kalyan and Murbad from the helipad at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai. Shortly after his helicopter took off, there was an unexpected change in the weather.

A sudden storm and rain formed in the Kalyan area. The helicopter was hit by the storm while it was in the air.

Fortunately, his pilot quickly took precautions and steered the chopper out of the storm caused by unseasonal rains, after which an emergency landing was made at the Juhu helipad in Mumbai.

Shinde was supposed to land at the helipad in the Bapgaon area to attend a wedding ceremony in Kalyan-Murbad. However, due to a sudden thunderstorm, visibility in the air increased.

The police deployed at the Bapgaon helipad, has now been removed.

Meanwhile, heavy rains accompanied by strong winds lashed nearby Vangani and its surroundings near Murbad, due to which the roof of a house got stuck in a high tension wire, causing panic among citizens.
