Days after a three-year-old girl was killed in a leopard attack, the big cat was Thursday spotted in the Nikvel area in Baglan Taluka of Nashik district in Maharashtra, triggering panic among locals.
The leopard was seen prowling directly in the courtyard of a farmer’s home. The movements of the leopard were caught on a CCTV camera installed outside the home of farmer Santosh Jadhav. The video shows the leopard cautiously circling the house.

With the leopard’s presence extending directly to residential doorsteps, fear has spread among farmers and villagers.

Activities such as fetching water at night, tending to livestock, or even stepping out of the house have become perilous.
“If the leopard is venturing right up to our homes, how are we supposed to protect our families and our livestock?” local farmers asked.
