Rekha Gupta offers prayers at Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu, prays for country’s progress

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday offered prayers at the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu.

Speaking to reporters, the chief minister said that she offered prayers to Maa Vaishno Devi to continue showering her blessings upon the people of Delhi and the entire nation, and to bless every family with happiness, prosperity, good health and joy.

“I pray at the holy feet of Mata that she continues to shower her blessings upon all Indians and that India keeps progressing continuously under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji…,” said CM Gupta.

CM Gupta also interacted with devotees during the visit and enquired about their well-being. The devotees greeted her with “Jai Mata Di” as she walked past them.

In a heart-warming gesture, the Delhi CM offered little girls money (a common Indian tradition) and touched their feet, given girls are considered the embodiment of the goddess.
