Moloy Ghatak loses ministry

Senior Trinamul MLA from Asansol Moloy Ghatak has been divested of the law and justice department. He would however continue as the minister of labour in the ruling dispensation.

According to a notification issued by the state secretariat at Nabanna, the Chief Minister would keep the portfolio of law department to herself for the time being.

There had been a rumbling of discontent about Mr Ghatak’s attitude in the party for quite some time now and some of his conducts had been not well received within the party, sources in the know claimed.
