Police examine CCTV footage, forensic team deployed
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Delhi) Raja Banthia said police reached the spot soon after receiving information and found that four to five rounds had been fired at the vehicle.
“We are working on every aspect of the investigation. Based on CCTV footage, witness statements, and other technical evidence, we will soon identify and arrest the attackers,” the DCP said, adding that maintaining law and order in the area remains a top priority.
A forensic team was called to the scene, and empty cartridges were recovered. Police have also begun efforts to trace the weapon used in the attack.
Claim of gang link yet to be verified
According to police sources, the injured man has claimed that he is associated with the legal team of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. However, officials said this claim has not yet been independently verified.
The motive behind the firing remains unclear. Investigators are not ruling out the possibility of an old rivalry or gang-related dispute. The surrounding area was cordoned off briefly as police conducted searches for the suspects.
Further investigation is underway, and authorities said more details will emerge once the identities of the attackers are established.
