The police have included the name of Shivam Mishra, the son of tobacco tycoon KK Mishra, in the FIR filed in connection with the Kanpur Lamborghini crash. The FIR registered initially had named “unidentified person” as the driver of the speeding luxury car.
“The FIR of the accident was registered earlier, and now, in our investigation, we have learned that the name of the driver is Shivam Mishra,” Kanpur Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal said in a press conference.

However, Shivam Mishra’s lawyer, Mrityunjay Kumar, has claimed that it was his client’s driver who was driving the car at the time of the accident. “Shivam was not driving; his driver, Mohan, was. This is an accident case. When he was not driving, then there can be no case against him,” Kumar said.
However, the police claimed that the speeding car was being driven by Shivam Mishra and his bouncers pulled him out after the accident.
“We have found the details of the car. The car has been seized. The car was driven by Shivam Mishra. After the accident, Shivam Mishra’s bouncers pulled him out of the car,” the Kanpur Police Commissioner said.
The Commissioner also said that Shivam has some medical issues. According to reports, his family had initially claimed that he suffered seizures, which led to the crash.
According to reports, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon on VIP Road near Rev-3 Mall in the Gwaltoli area in Kanpur. The luxury car allegedly being driven by the tobacco tycoon’s son rammed into pedestrians and vehicles.
The car first hit an auto-rickshaw before ramming into a motorcycle and hitting several people. While the incident is currently under investigation, no arrests have been made so far.
