Head lice are tiny insects, but the trouble they cause is huge. They are especially common among school-going children. Kids play together, share benches, hug, and before anyone realizes it, lice jump from one head to another.

The result? Constant itching, irritation, dirty scalp, and restless nights. Parents often rush to buy medicated shampoos and lotions, but many complain that the lice return after a few weeks.
This is where Acharya Balkrishna steps in with a calm smile and a natural solution.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Patanjali Yogpeeth’s Acharya Balkrishna talked about an easy and effective home remedy for removing lice. No chemicals. No complicated process. Just fresh tulsi leaves.
According to him, tulsi is not just a holy plant but also a powerful natural healer. It has properties that help kill bacteria, fungus, and insects including head lice. It also keeps the scalp healthy.
Tulsi contains natural elements that lice cannot survive on. It attacks the tiny insects while being gentle on the scalp. Unlike harsh chemical treatments, tulsi does not damage hair or cause dryness. Instead it cleans the scalp and keeps it fresh.
This makes it a safer option, especially for children.
The method is very simple and can be done at home without stress.
First, take a handful of fresh tulsi leaves and wash them properly. Grind the leaves to make a paste or extract the juice from them. Apply this tulsi juice directly to the hair roots and scalp. Make sure it reaches every part of the scalp.
Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes so it can work properly. After that, take a fine-tooth comb and comb the hair gently while it is still slightly wet. This helps remove dead lice from the hair.
You can repeat this process if needed.
Acharya Balkrishna says tulsi does more than just remove lice. It strengthens hair roots and helps reduce hair fall. It keeps the scalp clean and healthy. The cooling effect of tulsi also gives relief from itching and irritation which is a big relief for anyone suffering from lice.
Many people also notice that their hair feels fresher and lighter after using tulsi juice.
Sometimes, the best solutions really are hiding in our own homes.
