The administration has informed hotel owners, shopkeepers, guest houses, homestays, and online food delivery companies about the order and has warned of strict action against those who violate the rules.
Assistant Food Commissioner Manik Chandra Singh said here on Friday that the sale of non-vegetarian food was already banned in and around the Ram Temple area, but some hotels, guest houses, and homestays were not complying.
Complaints were received that tourists were being served non-vegetarian food ordered through online delivery services, he said.
In light of this, the administration has now also banned online delivery of non-vegetarian food in the Ram Temple area and its surroundings. All concerned establishments and online delivery companies have been informed of this order. The administration will strictly enforce this order, conduct regular monitoring, and take strong action against violators, the official said.
